Join Us for a FREE SCAPE Club Plant Event & Art Fair – June 28th at 11 AM!
Calling all aquarium plant lovers, aquascapers, fishkeepers, and curious beginners — you’re invited to a FREE community event on Saturday, June 28 at 11:00 AM hosted by Age of Aquariums!
SCAPE stands for “Southern California Aquatic Plant Enthusiasts”, a local community of hobbyists who meet monthly to share knowledge, inspiration, plants, fish, and aquascaping ideas. Membership is completely free, and everyone is welcome to attend.

Event Highlights
This event will feature a full afternoon of aquarium plant fun, shopping, giveaways, and community activities, including:
Mini Aquarium Artist Alley Browse aquarium-inspired art and handmade items from local creators! Artists will be set up with: - Stickers - Keychains - Prints - Aquarium-themed artwork - 3D printed items & more!
DIY Craft Station We will have an area with FREE arts & crafts: - Make your own bookmarks - Make a mini moss ball - Decorate gift bags & gift tags with Aquarium-themed stickers - Make a fish magnet

- Beginner-friendly plant care tips
- Live plant demonstrations
- Helpful information for new hobbyists
Live Plant Demonstration We’ll also be hosting a live aquarium plant demo: how to make DIY moss covered hides and caves! Multiple ways to make moss hides with items you already have at home.
Raffle Giveaway SCAPE members can participate in a special raffle giveaway featuring prizes from generous sponsors including: - Fluval - API - Fritz - Aquatropic - Ultum Nature Systems - Seachem - Hygger & MORE!
Plus, the first 50 SCAPE Club members will receive free Hikari gift bags.
How the Raffle Works - You must be a SCAPE Club member to participate in the raffle - Membership is FREE - Every member receives 1 free raffle ticket - Earn additional raffle tickets for every $10 spent in-store during the event
Members-Only Auction One of the most exciting parts of every SCAPE meeting is the members auction! Club members bring rare plants, fish, hardscape, and aquarium items to auction off — often at amazing prices. There are usually some very unique finds available.
Store Specials We’ll also be offering additional in-store discounts and specials during the event, including: - Plant sales - Aquarium product discounts - Additional promotions to be announced
What to Expect & What to Bring
This event will take place outdoors in our parking lot, which will be closed off for the SCAPE Club meeting and vendor area. Expect a relaxed, community-style atmosphere with plants, fish, art vendors, raffles, demos, shopping, and plenty of aquarium conversation throughout the day.
Parking Information Additional parking will be available nearby, including: - Mechanic parking spaces - The nearby bank parking lot - Street parking along St. Louis Street
What to Bring We’ll have some canopies and shaded areas available, but we recommend bringing: - A hat - Sunscreen - Folding chairs if you’d like extra seating - Water or drinks to stay cool
Snacks & Fundraiser Light snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase during the event. All proceeds will benefit the shop cat, MeowMeow, and help support his veterinary bills.
Whether you’re an experienced aquascaper or just getting started with live plants, this is a great opportunity to meet fellow hobbyists, learn something new, and enjoy a fun aquarium community event. And there will be art for EVERYONE to enjoy!
