Cholla wood is the bark skeleton of cholla cactus. These tunnels are great for planted tanks and shrimp tanks. Moss and other plants can be tied or glued to the surface. The biofilm that develops on the wood is a great food source for caridina and neocaridina shrimp. These tunnels are 6”-9” in length.
The small/short wood tunnels do contain some tannins. Presoak in RO or dechlorinated tap water to avoid discolored water. Change water daily until it remains clear.
The medium/long tunnels are presoaked and will not leach tannins!
